Strong honey bees for sale, Windsor, Berkshire.
Bred from my own bees which have not been treated with anything in the last 10 years. Resilient stock foraging on ancient meadow and river embankment. I don’t split colonies, don’t unite colonies, don’t treat for varroa etc and all colonies came through last winter. My bees seem to have an unusually high winter survival rate and not succumb to varroa. Possible supercedure this spring, but Queens now laying well.
Sale due to the need to decrease stock and manage a bad back.

A small colony of bees on British National DN4 frames is available for sale in Burnham, Slough,
This is a spare colony of bees with a 2022 marked queen from a swarm control spilt near the end of last year.
The bees are occupying seven of the ten DN4 frames in the brood box with all stages of brood on four frames and pollen on one frame. Their honey stores are only in a super left on the hive over winter, so they will need feeding when they are moved to a new home.
They can be collected on a mutually convenient evening by transferring the 10 frames and the bees into your own brood box. (I will use a clearer board to empty the super before collection.)

Full colonies with 2 overwintered supers per hive.
£525 each. (£25 in advance £500 on collection)
The hives are in excellent condition - all equipment has been purchased new from Thornes and is only a few years old.
Full or partial comb change was performed last season and the queens are from last year.
Queens are marked but not clipped.
The apiary had a full inspection by the Regional Inspector last year and had a clean bill of health.
Hives and equipment are being sold due to a health issue - every care has been taken to maintain a hygienic apiary and the bees are in good health.

Colony of bees on their frames for sale, Burnham, Slough.
I have a spare colony of bees with a 2022 marked queen from a swarm control spilt last year.
The bees are on 12 DN4 frames with all stages of brood and stores.
They can be collected during the first two weeks of April on a mutually convenient evening by transferring the frames into your own hive.
Or if preferred we could do the transfer one day and leave the collection until a subsequent convenient evening.
£205 plus (£25 in advance £180 on collection)
The purchaser must be able to demonstrate they have registered on BeeBase.
I suggest payment is by cash or bank transfer at the time of collection.

Each colony has 5 or 6 langstroth frames with several frames of capped worker brood and plenty of stores.

The Nuc box is not included in the price but can be supplied for an extra £50.
